It’s amazing to me the similarities all three of our babies have had with their sleep. From the minute they were born, all three of them liked to have their hands in their face, or at least to have access to their hands at all times. Braden and Ethan learned to suck their thumbs within days, thus the need to have their arms and hands free, so I never tried to swaddle them. Jonathan hasn’t mastered the art of sucking his thumb, but he does like to have access to his hands, and I’ve also discovered that he is very strong and likes to kick in his sleep when he’s unsettled. So, if I had a blanket on him…he’d kick it off and get cold. What’s a mom to do?
